Audio settings in VMix

Getting started

The audio signal should be strong before entering VMix. In other words, the live mix should be appropriately set when being received by the audio interface.

To access the audio settings menu, click the cog icon in the audio mixer area.

In VMix, the audio signal can be adjusted with the audio settings menu.

A small delay (about 100ms) is typically needed to sync audio with the video feed. The audio settings menu can fine-tune this delay.

Advanced settings

VMix has equalizer settings to improve the overall timbre of the audio feed.

A noise gate can be added to help eliminate ambient noise and environmental sounds. It is especially useful for outdoor worship when wind and traffic can distract listeners.

If a single mono source is being received, it should be converted in VMix to a dual mono signal with the channel balance matrix in the settings.
