MLK Day of Service

Thank you to everyone that volunteered for the MLK Day of Service this week.  Special thanks go to Renee Richardson, Anne Hayton, Sandy Ogg, Laura Morreale, Pastor Beth and Doug McCleery for leading stations and to Lucy Semple for her organization and purchasing.  The following items were completed  by the ~60 volunteers for delivery to organizations:

 For TASK:
 - 100 weekend meal bags 
 - 140 snack bags
 - 200 cold care kits
 - 600 wrapped utensils (that they had just run out of the day before)

Sourland Conservancy:
 - 1500 swamp milkweed seed packets

Trenton Rescue Mission:
 - 20 fleece blankets
 - many donated new or gently used and clean coats

Chubbies Project:
 - 480 cookies (40 dozen!)

Seeds to Sew
 - 120 decorated bags

Also thank you to the Generosity Committee for the grant of $2500 to fund these activities.
