Hopewell Valley Youth Collective

Great news! After a hiatus, the Hopewell Valley Youth Collective is back! Thanks to the generosity of the Sharipen Grant and the vision of a group of adults in the community, we are gearing up to launch HVYC 2.0. The goals of the Youth Collective are:

  • To provide a safe Third Space for the teenagers of Hopewell Valley to gather, learn, grow, and serve

  • To demonstrate to our youth and families that there are trusted, non-custodial adults in our community who want to encourage and uplift them in this stage of their lives

  • To give a platform for our kids to raise their voices and make known their thoughts, opinions, struggles, and dreams

  • To create ways for the youth of Hopewell Valley to contribute to their community

Soon we will offer programming for the summer and plan for the fall. Activities will include things like swim trips to the Quarry, fun and regular gatherings at Chubby’s, guest speakers, youth-led service projects, and whatever else student leaders identify as their priorities.

If you are an adult and are interested in joining our efforts by contributing your time, talents, spaces, and resources, we need you!

If you are a kid and want to hang out, help plan activities, and be a part of something new, then we need you, too!
