Church Wide Book Conversation

Church Wide Book Conversation - Sailboat Church by Joan Gray 
The Elders and Deacons read Sailboat Church last year and have invited the rest of the congregation to discuss it with them on Sunday, September 20th, at 12:00 noon. The essence, as you can imagine, of the book is to distinguish between a "row boat" model of church and a "sailboat" model of church. 

In a "Rowboat" Church, the congregation depends primarily on its own effort to move the church forward in its worship, work and mission. 
In a "Sailboat" Church, the congregation raises its sails and allows the Holy Spirit to propel and guide it in its worship, work and mission.
